Third Page Done

Here it is in all its blue glory! Three pages of Day and Night done and well into the fourth. Lots and lots of blue lol. This is pages 55-57. Only 2 more pages and the bottom row of pages is done. Hopefully by the end of the month!

Yes, I have been bad, really need to get back into the habit of posting more often. Plugging along on Day and Night, now have 2 pages complete and a third is about 2/3 done. Hoping to finish the third page on Wednesday. I’ll post another pic then. Have my list for Emerald Hawthorne all made, will just have to wait for finances to improve a bit and then will order my silks and fabrics. Right now I plan on doing it 2 over 1 with premium silk on 20 ct jobelan. That is the plan for today, we will see what the plan is when I actually order all the supplies lol.

We have booked our Orlando vacation. Going to Disney with the neighbors and their 2 kids at the end of June. The kids are so excited! So are their parents actually lol. I’m looking forward to it tremendously, bringing the kids is going to bring an entire new experience there. I so wish we didn’t have to spend an entire day going down to visit John’s mother, its not that I don’t want to see her, but I hate to lose a day with the kids!

Other than that really nothing exciting going on. We had some nasty storms come thru last night and this morning, but nothing like they were predicting, no tornados, which made my day. We did get quite a bit of rain and we are living in the middle of a swamp, but I can deal with that as long as it isn’t snow!

OK, off to kill some more time before I get released from the prison.

Hot off the presses, Day and Night, first page is completed. I started last Friday when I was home sick and just finished up the page. Pretty quick, but that might have something to do with the fact that it was mostly 939 and 310 with maybe 50 other misc stitches thrown in.

My plan is to finish the bottom row of pages before moving on to Emeral Hawthorne. That gives me some time to gather the silks that she must be done in (approximately $200 between the silks and fabric).

New Year and New Goals (Hopes?)

OK, so I’m gathering my goals or should I say hopes for the new year so this is a WIP. As far as stitching goes, the things at the top of my list are finishing another five pages on Pretty, finishing up this blessed stocking, starting Nativity and Snapdragon and working on some Chats. I would love to have some big finishes this year. I’ll make a more detailed list in a bit when I get the ‘final’ together.

As far as personal/house stuff, I want to get the laundry room and linen closet cleaned and organized, we want to paint the rest of the interior of the house and I would love to lose about 10 pounds and get my cholesterol down naturally. I also need to get back into budgeting/couponing, the last few months between the trip to NY and all the work on the house with the sunroom the budget has gone out the window. My goal for the first quarter of the year is to safe enough money to give to John for his birthday in April for his shed (basically so he leaves me the heck alone!). Then I’ll save enough for our vacation to Florida.

So that is an overview of my goals, I’ll spiff it up a bit over the next week and will start with my Week 1 post next weekend, hopefully with a finish of this durned stocking!

Week 45

Woohooooo, finished the socks last night and decided that I am going to make another pair. I need to get to Michaels tomorrow and pick up more yarn, but I had enough left from the last pair to get a start on the toes. So here is a pic of the finished socks, Rhapsody and the dreaded stocking that I am trying desperately to finish so I can start my nativity!

Weeks 43 and 44

Yeps, gonna do two weeks at one time. Hopefully I can get back on track with this, I’ve been taking the pics but just too durned lazy to actually put them up. Anyway, no work on Pretty this week, I’ve decided that I need to focus on my Christmas stuff to get it done and out of the way in time for the holidays and I’ve also promised myself I will not start the Marbek Nativity until I finish up my nephew’s Stocking, so I am cranking on it now. The stocking is more than 1/2 done and I think I can have it finished by Thanksgiving (at least this is the hope so that Momma can sew it up for me as I SUCK at that. If I don’t finish it by then it will go to NY with me for finishing and I will have to sew it up myself, stinky, stinky, stinky. I’m also more than 3/4 of the way done with the last sock for my Momma, just a few more hours and that will be done, might work on it a bit tomorrow to just finish it up and get it done.

After the stocking and socks are done I will start with my new ‘routine’. That is going to be Mon-Fri on Pretty, Sats I will do my weekly quota on Rhapsody (which is coming along wonderfully) and the rest of the weekend will be spent on the nativity so that hopefully it will be finished at some point in time. I got the charts in the mail this week and boy are they intimidating! So much stitching and so many metallics and tassels and such, boy I stepped into it this time. But I am stubborn if nothing else, so it will get stitched.

OK, so here is what you really want. Weeks 43 and 44. Hopefully tomorrow I will get up week 45
